Human Rights Worker Position- CURRENTLY HIRING

Neighborhood Bridges is a human rights organization committed to building a world where everyone is a valued citizen.  Our work focuses on supporting people with developmental disabilities and dual diagnosis' through a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and community development perspective.  

Human Rights Worker Duties:

HRWs work one on one for people in their daily lives. 

Building on the unique skills, assets and interests of the person for whom you work, you will engage in:

  • Promoting Citizenship as an Identity

  • Promoting Valued Social Identities

  • Supporting Real Relationships

  • Supporting Personal Development

  • Supporting Basic Skills

  • Promoting Health and Safety

  • Community Development

  • Administration

  • Democratic Participation in Teams

 

Qualifications

  • Share values and philosophy of the organization

  • Interest in working directly with people in their daily lives.

  • Good communication skills

  • Interest, experience and passion for human rights and community development

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

  • Clear and current Police Information Check & Child Welfare Intervention Record Check

Current Police Information Check and Child Welfare Intervention Record Check are required.

This position requires some evening and weekend availability. Priority will be given to candidates who are able to work at least one overnight shift each week.
